Overview of CMQ Functions

> It's something of a truism that no one collects job analysis data simply for the intrinsic satisfaction of doing so. Rather, individuals and organizations describe work in order to do something with the job data to help them make better personnel decisions.

After you purchase a CMQ membership and logon to your administrator account, additional tabs will appear in the menu bar above that will allow you to use your database to make applied decisions.

CMQ analysis and reporting functions include:

  • Generating job descriptions that show the GWAs and higher-level work dimension scores for each job, and identifying occupations that have similar work activity and skill profiles.

  • Predicting the personal traits that would be expected among workers on a job using job-component validity (JCV), including the expected DOT Strength and SVP scores.

  • Developing compensation systems that address internal and external equity via market policy-capturing equations.

  • Evaluating within-title variability and ratings disagreement to verifying ratings accuracy and quantify within-title variability.
